In almost all of the HR with the Jane Eyre esque (ik Jane eyre isn't HR, I mean the HR with that troupe) troupe the FMC is usually written in a way that she could do no wrong in the eyes of MMC, and that just annoys me, because then I completely stop relating to her in any way, don't get me wrong I don't expect to relate to all of the FMCs that I read, but I expect at least one part of them or some part of them that reminds me that they are human and not a perfect being who can do no wrong or some boring person who thinks they are better than everyone else.Īnd in almost all of these books the MMC would be completely pining for the FMC like head over his heels pining, and as much as I love pining toward the last 30-50% of the book I don't like pining from the first page, it just puts me off and almost all of these books have pining or lusting from the first page which I don't like. The reasons why I think that was is because - usually when the FMC is of lower class, the book is written in such a way that the MMC is completely and wholly in love with her but the only thing that's stopping him from marrying her is her class, and more often than not the only thing about her would be that she is lower class, oh! It would be written that she's fierce and this and that but her actions would usually say otherwise, and most of these times these FMCs would give off "I'm not like other women" vibe and in some books it would be blatantly written, which just puts me off.

I've always stayed away from class difference in HR, especially if the FMC was of lower class than the MMC. Both ways, like with higher class FMC or with higher class MMC, which ones do u prefer. I just want to know how you guys feel about class difference HR.
